Our transcoding service is popular with film and TV productions where it wasn’t possible to have a lab on set during the shoot. Hard drives are run through the latest DaVinci Resolve software for transcoding to MXF for Avid or ProRes 422 for FCP. Sound syncing and binning services are also available.
Linear Tape Open (LTO) is a trusted industry standard method of data archival. Anything stored on a drive can be written to tape. We are writing to LTO 6 tapes in LTFS format. The tapes hold 2TB each and last up to 30 years, whereas hard drive only last 2 – 5 years.
We’re able to offer both encrypted and non-encrypted DCP through our production partner Film Shed. Memory sticks and hard drives can be supplied as part of the service, or bring your own.
We are able to calibrate your production monitors on site or at our DIT workspace in Acton using our X-Rite i1 Display Pro probe and Lightspace CMS. A LUT can be generator for use if your monitor is LUT enabled.
Our qualified PAT tester routinely checks DIT equipment before and after it’s used on location using calibrated instruments. We would like to extend this service to anyone else who needs their portable electrical kit checked.
One of the skills that we’ve had to pick up along the way is how to make our own BNC cables. We now have the knack of it so we can offer you this service too. Whether you need cables made up or just re-ended, we can take a look at it at our Acton workshop.
